Why GeeTramp support Cystic Fibrosis QLD

Updated: Mar 2, 2023

Our journey of social responsibility

Cystic Fibrosis Queensland Limited approached us in 2018 and through a passionate advocate, educated us on the relevance of our support for the cystic fibrosis community; kids and young adults living with the debilitating lung condition.

What We Learned About Cystic Fibrosis

The facts that surprised us:

  • There is no cure exists for Cystic Fibrosis

  • Cystic Fibrosis Sufferers have a short life expectancy, typically less than 40 years

  • People with Cystic Fibrosis are encouraged not to socialize with others with CF for risk of cross-infection

  • The treatments are Fatiguing, and include 80 tablets per day

  • Cystic Fibrosis is not covered by NDIS as a chronic illness

  • There is no designated state or federal government funding

The Benefits of Cystic Fibrosis Queensland

How they help fill the gap

  • Cystic Fibrosis Queensland operates as a charity, tirelessly fundraising in the community and working toward private and government grants and corporate support.

  • They are also the welfare and equipment provider for families and individuals affected by cystic fibrosis.

The Importance of Trampolines for People with Cystic Fibrosis

The positive impact of daily exercise

  • Jumping on a trampoline is one of the best forms of exercise for overall wellbeing, including airway and lung clearance, cardiopulmonary performance, sputum production, and overall wellbeing.

  • Trampolines are a genuine medical treatment to improve the health of those living with cystic fibrosis and the only fun activity of all the essential daily must dos.
